The Allanvale Cup has returned to the Stawell Golf Club after their golfers wrestled the cup back from the grasp of Chalambar in the annual Battle of the Divide at Stawell on Wednesday.

Conditions were hot as Stawell came away with the victory, recording an impressive average score of 33.38 points to Chalambar’s 27.4.
Linda Maher led the way for the Stawell team, finishing with the top score of 40 points to win the day.
Shirley Hetherington was also impressive for Stawell, recording 38 points.
Chalambar’s best performers were Helen Tucker with 33 points closely followed by Marg Lardner with 31.
Stawell team member Kaye Skinner said it was an “exciting occasion” to win the cup back.
“Everyone was very excited to win a cup that has been around for a while now,” she said.
“The cup we are playing for has been around since 1984.
“It was a lovely day with the weather and both teams had a lot of fun.”
