Trucks and volunteers will be busy making their way throughout the region to call on the generosity of the community in the hopes of raising a record amount of funds.
They will cover the streets of Stawell, Lake Fyans, Halls Gap, and the Callawadda Stawell Gun Club collecting for the initiative.
Last year nearly $31,000 was raised, which was the highest amount the brigade raised in a single year since they started back collecting in 1972.
Since 1972, the brigade has raised more than $600,000.
Appeal coordinator Reg Smith said he hopes to break that record this year.
“It was great we were able to raise so much money last year, hopefully we can top it again,” he said.
“The brigade always welcome the generosity of the community. I would say for anyone to give what the possibly can because any contribution is greatly appreciated.
Smith said the Good Friday Appeal is a great way to support families who may be struggling with sick children.
“A lot of members have had kids involved in the children's hospital,” he said.
“It is always a tough time for families with kids who may be sick in there so this is just one way we as a community can support them.”
Volunteer numbers have dropped since the Introduction of Good Friday football.
Smith said more volunteers are welcome to help get to as many places as possible.
“The more the merrier we say,” he said.
The Good Friday Appeal raised more than 17 and a half million dollars for the Royal Melbourne Children’s Hospital in 2017.
