Blizzard won the championships despite not making it to the finals, due to increased competition from interstate athletes at the meet.
The 21-year-old said it was a good test ahead of a busy period of racing coming up.
“Because there was a lot of interstate people there, the times were really quick, so I missed out on the final,” she said.
“The AIS track is the fastest track in Australia at the moment, everyone comes to compete there with the Commonwealth Games coming up.”
...as soon as it starts you’re thinking about Stawell.

It hasn’t all been smooth sailing for Blizzard this season with a slow start but the form has improved in recent weeks.
“I had a few setbacks at the start of the season but training has been going really well lately,” she said.
The talented athlete will now have a few quiet days ahead of the national championships on the Gold Coast next week.
The competition will be on the Commonwealth Games track, giving Blizzard another gauge of where she is at with her times.
Following that, the focus will turn to the Stawell Gift with the Women’s 120m Gift firmly in sight.
“Every season, as soon as it starts you’re thinking about Stawell but the last few weeks we have started to focus on it a bit more,” Blizzard said.
“I will definitely compete in the Women’s 120m Gift and then maybe the 70m event as well.”
The 137th Stawell Men’s 120m and Women’s 120m Gifts will be on Monday April 2.
