A violent gust of wind caused a veranda roof to collapse at a Fyans Creek property about 7pm on Tuesday night.
Stawell State Emergency Service were called out to remove the collapsed roof which was impeding access to the house.
Stawell SES unit controller Alan Blight said the damaging winds lifted a third of the veranda roof from the property.
“We were paged and cleaned up the mess and secured a part of the roof to ensure there was no further damage to the house,” he said.
“We were lucky to miss most of the state’s wild weather again and only got called out to the one job.”
