Two junior Grampians Cricket Association teams will kick off their country week campaign on Sunday.

Both under 13 and under 15 teams will travel to take on Castlemaine in round one of the Central Highlands country week.
Under-15 Grampians coach Sam Sparks said he has been pleased with the progress he has seen in his players in the lead up to the first match.
“It has gone really well. We had a few turn out to the try outs so I think we have a pretty good side this year,” he said.
Sparks said one of the best things about the tournament is the opportunity the players get to play on turf wickets.
“Getting that experience against some of the best young cricketers in the region on turf wickets is a great chance for them to learn,” he said.
“It really helps with their progression to senior cricket.”
Matches begin at 10am on Sunday, with rounds two and three to be played in the new year.
