A round of 66 was good enough for Ian Mitchell to take out Stawell Golf Club’s final monthly medal of 2017.
Mitchell hit a scratch score of 83, dropping down to 66 after handicaps.
Max Waters led the way in A Grade, with the best scratch score of 77.
Waters’ solid round was good enough to secure him as the 2017 winner of the Stawell Windows and Glass Cup, after accumulating the most points from events played throughout the year.
Shaun Allen was the best handicapper in A Grade with a score of 71.
Brian Gale was the best of the B Grade, hitting a scratch score of 81. Eventual monthly medal winner Mitchell shot a scratch score of 83, reduced to 66 to have the best B handicap score in B Grade.
Mick Wiecek led the way in C Grade with 86, while Ken Reid took out the C Grade handicap win.
Laura Martin was the best in the ladies section, shooting a scratch score of 89.
Linda Maher had the best ladies handicap score.
A stableford event will run this weekend before the club celebrates a successful year with a half price entry day on Saturday, December 23.
