The Stawell and District Angling Club will welcome in its new season this weekend.
The season will kick off this weekend with a Ross McLaughlin Painting event at Lake Fyans.
The angling action kick off from 7am on Saturday September 23 and will run until midday on Sunday, September 24 with weigh-in at 12:15 at the Stawell and District Angling Clubhouse.
Stawell and District Angling Club president Ray Howard said he now is the perfect time to join the club.
“New members are very welcome,” he said.
“You can fish in the competition and join up at the weigh-in.
“With lakes holding good amounts of water this year the club is looking forward to very good fishing, especially with Lake Lonsdale holding good water.
“So come and join the club and have some fun.”
People of all ages are able to join in the angling action, with a juniors section catering for the young anglers.
