Stawell Secondary is hoping to add to its list of successful scholarship applicants after it hosted a workshop from Federation University to discuss tertiary options and scholarships with parents and students.
The presentation was open to families from both primary and secondary schools.
More than $300,000 worth of scholarship money has been awarded to Stawell Secondary students in the last two years.
Stawell Secondary VCE coordinator Millie Francis said she would like to see this trend continue.
“The presentation was about how our students can be supported in their transition from school to tertiary institutions,” she said.
“Financing for university, academic and rural disadvantage scholarships were discussed, as well as ways to get into university and make the most of your time while there.
“It is really about how Stawell as a whole can work towards giving our students an even better chance and how the students can create pathways for themselves and their futures.”
