Solo Brass Showcase will be presented by the Ararat City Band on Saturday May 20.
The event will feature up and coming solo performers from the flourishing Development Program as well as established musicians from the Ararat City Band.
Band Secretary Amy Stevens said the opportunity for the Development Program learners to play in front of an audience is invaluable.
"It really helps them to put into practice all the performance skills they have learnt, not only their musical skills but also how to perform in front of an audience," Ms Stevens said.
“Combining the two elements of the Ararat City Band gives the learners in the Development Program something to aspire to and shows where continued practice and dedication can lead them.”
The concert will be held in the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Viewpoint Street Ararat from 1.30pm.
Entry is by gold coin donation.
