Jean-Louis Ravelomanantsoa's historic win in 1968.
In 1968 Mexico Olympics 100 metre finalist and three time Olympian from Madagascar Jean-Louis Ravelomanantsoa produced the greatest moment at the Stawell Gift.
He won the Gift from scratch, the first time it had been achieved.
In cold and wet conditions Ravelo’s time was 12 seconds, the fastest run recorded at Stawell until that time.
