Accurate kicking helped a Warriors side missing star players defeat Beaufort in a practice game at Stawell’s North Park on Saturday.

Stawell kicked 13.6.84 to 6.18.54 in a five-goal win against the Central Highlands Football League club.
Younger players led the way after senior Stawell players missed the practice match.
Midfield signing Sean Mantell is still to return to the line-up, along with Travis Graham, James Delahunty and Jack Beaton.
Warriors’ coach Tom Eckel said his side had gained valuable match fitness in a game where players were trialed in new positions.
“We chopped and changed the team a fair bit,” he said.
“It was a good opportunity for everyone to play in a few different positions and the younger guys got a lot game of time.
“The best bit was everyone got a fair bit of match fitness out of it, we worked on some structures, but not all of them were going to work given people changed positions a fair bit.”
