D.A.M Farming came up trumps against The Great Western Shoppe in game one of Stawell’s Women’s day basketball.
Both teams scored 11 points in the second half, but a better first half was the key for D.A.M Farming.
Courtney Morrow was the leading scorer of the game with 10 points.
Game two was a close match between Ricksteel Fabrications and Sneek-A-Peek which resulted in a tie, 32 a piece.
With no fouls being called during the match it was a scoring affair with Dorothy Henty and Katrina Hope sinking 10 points each to keep their team in the game.
There were no major fouls or warnings to come out of the matches which impressed officials and viewers at the games.
Next round will see Foster’s Men’s and Ladies wear take on D.A.M Farming in game one and The Great Western Shoppe will battle against Ricksteel Fabrications in game two.
Sneek-A-Peek will have the bye in the next round.
