A new style of camping that offered its own functioning flight simulator has taken off at Halls Gap Lakeside Tourist Park.
Aero Glamping was the first of its kind in Australia and offered park guests a rare opportunity to get behind the controls of a Boeing 737-800 Series aircraft.
Park owner Rowan McDonald said it was like the real deal.
“You can actually go through the whole process of what a pilot does during a flight,” he said.
Pilot Brian Hamilton taught guests how to manoeuvre the aircraft and said he could make the experience easy or difficult.
“I can change the weather and time and can program failures,” he said.
“The beauty is that we can fly to any airport in the world that is capable of landing a 737 Boeing.”
