The final score saw the Southern Roos win 25-5.
Coach Kylie McClure was proud of her team after the win.
“They put in a really good effort,” she said.
“They had a fantastic season. Being undefeated heading into the grand final isn’t always ideal but they played a fantastic game.”
The Kees scored the first goal of the game but things quickly swung the way of the Southern Roos who had been the form side all year.
By the end of the first quarter the side had opened up a 10-2 lead and looked a class above the opposition.
The Southern Roos were too tall and worked well as a team to extend its lead to 16 goals during the second quarter despite Kalkee’s continued efforts.
Scoring was harder to come by in the third quarter as both teams applied plenty of pressure and there was only one goal for each team added to the half-time score.
The Southern Roos lifted again the last quarter to finish off the job.
“We’ve been focusing on holding those leads and holding the ball,” she said.
“That seemed to pay off today.”
Eliza Jagger, Harrow-Balmoral, was awarded the best on court medal.
