After Jacob Seeary was run out for just one, the Combine batting duo settled in for the day with Nicholson (148 not out) and Devery (92 n.o.) forming a partnership of 257 runs to put the hosts in the box seat.
Needing 261 runs in reply, Buangor struggled against the Combine bowling attack.
Tom Eckel (3/40) claimed the scalp of Buangor opening batsmen Harry Ganley and Phillip Brady while Tom McCord, Tom O'Neill and Marc Brilliant chipped in, taking a couple of wickets each as the Combine ran out nine wicket winners.
Tatyoon bounced back from a loss last week to defeat Youth Club by four wickets at Moyston.
Youth Club were in trouble early, losing Steve Le Gassick, Phil Hall and Marcus Marrow for single figures while Jamie Solyom was given out lbw off the first ball he faced.
The shining light for the Clubbers was youngster Zac Marrow, reaching a half century while his brother Ethan made 20 not out to put some respectability on the scoreboard with the visitors reaching 6/99.
Tim McDougall was Tatyoon's chief destroyer, taking 4/14 off eight overs while Paul Roberts grabbed 2/12.
In reply 43 runs to captain Jarrod Blandford helped set up Tatyoon's first win for the season, finishing on 6/104 with eight overs remaining.
Steve Le Gassick was best of the Clubber bowlers, snaring 3/15 while Solyom helped out by claiming 2/12.
St Andrews continued their unblemished start to the GCA season with a solid eight wicket win over Pomonal.
Up against St Andrews bowlers James Hosking, Stephen Phillips and Matthew North, Pomonal batsmen Rick Oliver, Alex Malligan and Nick Maddison failed to find their rhythm and were dismissed for a combined 12 runs.
David Robinson made a defiant 17 runs before he fell victim to Lauchlan Dalgleish and it was left up to tail enders Al McKay, Matthew Grinham and Lee Oliver to lift Pomonal into a competititive position, guiding their side to 9/118.
Despite Pomonal bowlers best efforts St Andrews opener Dalgleish came out all guns blazing, smacking 75 not out as his side continued their winning run.
Jacob Bates (21) and Matthew North (18) added to Pomonal's misery, while Rick Oliver and Matthew Grinham picked up a wicket each.
* Former A grade side, Chalambar got off to a flying start in their inaugural B grade match against Youth Club.
Needing 113 runs to win, a century by Sam Wells guided Chally to a total of 4/177 to claim their first win for the season.
Another highlight was Jakob Davis' 5/6 for Swifts/Great Western in their crushing 141 run win over Pomonal.
