Mr Bailey will speak at a special Look Over the Farm Gate evening and will tell his powerful story of how he “just got on with things” after an accident left him a quadriplegic at 19. The session is supported by Agriculture Victoria, Northern Grampians Shire Council and the Country Fire Authority, and funded through the state government’s Drought Response Program.
Mr Bailey will also speak at local schools in both districts.
“I just tell my story about having a dream and finding my life changed in a split second,” Mr Bailey said.
“I certainly wasn’t going to let a spinal cord injury get in the way of my life-long dream so I rolled up my sleeves and set about rebuilding.”
The session will run from 6pm to 9pm at the St Arnaud Sporting Club. RSVP to Belinda Pritchard on 0408 342 593 or email belinda.pritchard@ecodev.vic.gov.au
