After 180 former students registered prior to the reunion, organisers were kept busy on the day of the reunion with a further 140 former students lining up when registrations opened at 10.30am on the day.
One of the reunion organisers, Graeme Anyon said the reunion had been an outstanding success.
"There was a great response from the attendees and since we have been receiving more favourable responses," Mr Anyon said.
He said the 65 to 75 years age group was particularly well represented, while there was also a big turn out of former Stawell Technical School students.
"The structure of the reunion allowed many of the Stawell based former students with other commitments to attend at varying times during the day."
The reunion opened with registrations and was followed by tours of the Stawell Secondary College and one tour of the former Stawell Technical School building now the Patrick Street Family Practice.
Following a barbecue lunch, the new Language Centre building at the College was officially opened by college principal, Peter Hilbig.
The roll call was one of the highlights of the day, with numerous former students signalled out for achievements since leaving school. Six former teachers also attended the reunion.
The reunion concluded with a 'happy hour' in the college assembly hall for all attendees.
Mr Anyon said the reunion organisers appreciated the support of the College Chaplaincy Committee and its helpers and the volunteers who assisted throughout the day and cooked the barbecue lunch.
