Ararat were defeated by Horsham Saints in the closest game of the round.
The Saints had endured a tough start to the season, winning just once before their match-up against the Rats.
Saints took the lead into the first break in a quarter that saw just 13 points scored between the two sides.
The margin never exceeded three baskets with Saints managing to hold on for a 35 to 34 win.
Best on court for the Rats were Maddison Batchelor, with 24 goals, and Jessica Williamson.
Saints’ best were Megan O’Connor and Jessica Cannane, who made some vital interceptions at goal defence and goal keeper.
Dimboola thrashed Nhill 61 to 33 to notch its second win of the year.
At the main break there were only three points separating the two teams.
The Roos scored 21 goals in the third quarter to the Tigers’ four.
Best for the Roos was Emma Hawker, who was outstanding in the final two quarters, and Meaghan Pohlner.
Nhill’s best players were centre Hannah Dickinson and Kirsty Nottle.
Horsham defeated Warrack Eagles in the grand final rematch.
Both teams came into the game undefeated.
The Demons exacted revenge for their one-point grand final loss, running out winners 42 to 30.
Georgia Hiscock and Paige Lloyd were best on court for Horsham.
Warrack Eagles’ best were Jessica Kelly and Maddison Peters.
Stawell has had an unlucky start to the season.
The Warriors boast a single win for the season and came up against a red-hot Minyip-Murtoa side; the Burras convincing 53 to 27 winners.
The best players for Stawell were Kellie Sommerville and Kirby Griffiths.
Minyip-Murtoa’s best players were Jessica Elder and Stevie Bibby.
