The Swifts could have been forgiven for thinking it wasn't to be as they struggled to keep a team on the park.
Sam Raeck was the worst of the injured players as he went to hospital with bruised lungs and possible rib damage while assistant coach Sean Mantell was sidelined with a hamstring tear.
Nick Reack sustained a heavy knock and took no further part in the game while Scott Quarrell, Jack Fraser and Ryan Folkes were all injured and biding their time in the forward line.
Swifts will be hoping for more luck this weekend when they take on Harrow Balmoral.
