Principal Jo Pegg said the school had undergone a complete change of teaching staff in 2016. Jo has spent the past three years working as a secondary teacher but was keen to get back to the primary education system.
“The Pomonal opportunity came up and I jumped at it,” she said.
“It was always a draw for me to get into primary education.”
Jo has been joined at the school by Claire Sherwell, who will teach Foundation to year 2 students and Lauren Pearce, who will look after grades three to six. The school has also welcomed several new families in 2016.
“We have two new families at the school,” Jo said.
“One has just returned to the area from Thailand and the children speak Thai and a family from Arnhem Land, who speak one of the native indigenous languages, have joined us as well.”
