The middle-order batsman put together a fine innings as the Clubbers made a spirited late run for the victory target of 200.
Swifts-Great Western batted first in the thrilling Grampians Cricket Association A Grade clash and posted 6-199, thanks mostly to a sublime start from openers Sam Cocks and James Devery, who combined for an opening partnership of 132.
Devery finished with 95 – a knock that proved crucial to the top side’s victory.
In chase of the total, Youth Club found trouble early, slumping to 4-20 before Solyom came to the crease to help his side add 3-158 from the moment he walked onto the pitch.
But the Clubbers would come up just shy, making 7-191 to fall nine runs short.
Tatyoon’s season has been resurrected after it recorded a crushing win against Halls Gap in a dominant display at the weekend.

It was the lower order batsmen that got the job done – Tyler Cronin, 42, Eyan Habib, 36, and Riley Taylor, 33, were the main contributors towards Aradale’s 8/191.
Saints’ batsman struggled early, and despite a brave 22 from James Hosking, were dismissed for 102.
Once again, it was the Ganleys leading the Buangor charge in its round 11 encounter with Chalambar.
