Beaten by Laharum by 114 points just a month ago, Swifts put on what president Robert Carey described as a 'very, very disciplined' team performance to overcome the Mountain Men by 28 points in Sunday's semi-final at Pimpinio.
Swifts held a two point lead at quarter time before Laharum took control in the second term, finishing with a couple of late goals to go into half time 13 points in front.
Laharum booted the opening two goals of the third term, extending their lead to 23 points before Scott Carey stepped up.
Carey was instrumental through the midfield and sneaked into the forward line as the Baggies piled on five unanswered goals to take a nine-point buffer at the final change.
Carey then came out in the final quarter, booting a goal to put the Baggies 16 points ahead and they managed to wear Laharum down to run out winners (17.8.110 to 12.10.82).
Robert Carey was full of praise for his team.
"It was very, very good. It took a lot to win it," he said.
"They really did play to the team plan and never let them (Laharum) play their own game."
Carey was particularly impressed by his side's second half.
"It was a great display from the boys. They wouldn't let them back in and had a good flow of goals coming through."
Carey said every single player 'contributed brilliantly' in the 28-point victory over the bigger and stronger Mountain Men.
An awards night was held following the match and coach Paul Hanns said there were at least 10 people left out of the six awards who were available, it was such a brilliant effort.
Carey singled out Hanns, saying the coach led by example.
"'Hannsy's' a tough determined footballer. He had one of the biggest jobs on Robbie Miller. It was an amazing tussle. Robbie got away once or twice, but Hannsy got on top. He and Nick Pickering showed Robbie a lot of attention," he said.
Scott Carey booted four goals in a best on ground performance while Julian Carr chipped in with two.
"Julian Carr and Scott Carey were outstanding. They really stepped up," Mr Carey said.
Youngster Zach Salmi stepped up again from the under 17s side, also kicking four goals for the afternoon.
"The shining light was young Zach Salmi. He stood up very well and was a big contributor. He really deserves his spot," Mr Carey said.
Damon Folkes put in a great performance through the midfield, while Aaron Cooper held star Laharum forward Jason Przibilla to just two goals for the match.
Defender Jake Davis locked Laharum's Ben Peucker down and Julian Carr teamed up with Brett Hargreaves to curb the influence of Laharum big man Shannon Argall.
The only downside for the Swifts was an ankle injury to forward Jeremy Joiner, however he should be right to play in this Saturday's preliminary final against Edenhope-Apsley at Natimuk.
