Detectives combined with Stawell Police to conduct a series of recent raids on properties in Stawell and as a result, several arrests were made.
Following the execution of the drug warrants, items were seized, including cannabis plants, quantities of methamphetamines and also prescription medications.
As a result, a number of offenders have been charged and bailed to appear in the Magistrates Court at Stawell this month.
Detective Steve Oliver, from the Ararat Crime Investigation Unit, said the community had assisted greatly in the operation.
"All the drug warrants were executed as a result of community information that we have received," Det Oliver said.
"We are appealing to the community to continue providing police with as much information as possible. Anyone who can assist police with information that will help curb the problem with methamphetamines in the community, we would be very grateful.
"People should keep in mind the Crime Stoppers number 180 333 000. They can make a report or provide information, without having to give all their personal details.
"Any information that police can obtain in relation to curbing the drug problem in the Wimmera region, it all goes to help police with their efforts."
