Liberal candidate for Ripon, Louise Staley, said a re-elected Coalition government would invest $500,000 in St Patrick's Primary School for a major redevelopment.
Ms Staley made the announcement during a visit to the school, where she met with students and staff.
"The Napthine Coalition Government is building better schools for all Victorian students and I'm delighted to announce a $500,000 upgrade of St Patrick's School as part of a $120 million investment in low-fee Catholic and Independent schools if the Victorian Coalition Government is re-elected," Ms Staley said.
"This $500,000 investment will provide a secure entry point and contemporary flexible learning areas, as well demolition of old portables, through a dollar-for-dollar matched funding agreement with the Catholic Education Commission of Victoria."
Ms Staley said the Victorian Coalition Government has a clear record of delivering high quality educational infrastructure.
"The Napthine Government is committed to funding modern, high quality school infrastructure," Ms Staley said.
"If elected, I will work hard with the great schools here in Ripon to support local students and families," Ms Staley said.
St Patrick's Primary School principal, Kate Harney, said she was delighted to welcome Ms Staley to the school on Tuesday and was thrilled with the funding commitment that the Liberal candidate delivered.
