The Stawell and Pomonal Uniting Churches challenged the artists of Stawell and district to create works of art that interpret this phrase and with the last part of that first chapter of Genesis ending with the words ‘God looked at all that he had made and it was very good’, artists were also asked the question - ‘What does it look like to you?’.
Twenty six artists are currently showcasing their works.
These range from sculpture to oil and water colour paintings as well as photography and textile art.
The exhibition was officially opened by the Reverend Margaret Russell OAM last week and at the opening she spoke about creation and creativity in all its forms.
The exhibition is being held over the school holidays, from Fridays to Sundays, 10am to 4pm and will conclude on Sunday, October 5.
The Gallery can also be opened by arrangement at any time by phoning Ian Holwell on 5358 2495.
