After a blistering opening round of three over 74, Scott fired a second round 79 to maintain the lead with Sunday's final round to play.
Robert Bullen made his move in last Sunday's second round with his 77 off the stick, for a combined two round total of 159.
Mal Cameron with rounds of 84 and 85 is the next best placed with a two round total of 169.
The round of 77 from Bullen did see him win last Sunday's A grade division with a nett 73, with Ted Hall the runner up with a nett 75, after a round of 86.
Mal Elliott split open the B grade championship field with his second round 82.
Three players were locked on rounds of 92 going into the second round, but with his round of 82, Elliott moved to a four shot lead after two rounds.
Rikki McIntosh and David Newton again fired identical rounds of 86 and they go into Sunday's third round with totals of 178.
Mal Elliot's round saw him take the day's B grade honours when he finished with a nett 68, with Rikki McIntosh the runner up with a nett 69.
In C grade Barry Colyer has set up a commanding 12 shot lead in the championship series after an opening round of 95 and then a second round of 92.
Bob Cashin with his round of 100 last Sunday is second with a combined total of 199 and Charlie McIntosh is third with rounds of 106 and 98.
McIntosh took the day's honours with a nett 67, ahead of Barry Colyer with his nett 72.
Kaylene Cameron was last Sunday's ladies winner after she fired a round of 76 for a nett 72 to finish ahead of Di Burton with a nett 74.
Ball competition winners on the day were David Newton, Peter Rathgeber, Damien Scott and Bob Cashin.
Nearest the pins were Mal Elliott on the second hole and Rikki McIntosh on the 14th.
Last Saturday's club day stableford event saw Bill Fitzell top the field with his 35 points.
Jane Delley was the runner up, surviving a countback against Di Burton after both players finished with rscores of 34 points.
Bill Fitzell had a day out as he also collected the nearest the pin honours on the second and 14th holes.
Tomorrow the club will host another club day with a 12 noon start.
On Sunday the third and final round in the men's championship series will be played with an 11.30am start.
