Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional and Rural Development Peter Ryan will visit Stawell today. 

Mr Ryan will be joined by The Nationals candidate for Ripon Scott Turner.

He will first attend the opening of Frewstal Abattoir expansion at 9.30am, before making his way along Main Street at around 11am.

Mr Ryan will then attend the region's first Putting Locals First Forum between 11.15am and 12.30pm at the Stawell Entertainment Centre. 

What's on:

To coincide with events to mark National Diabetes Week Grampians Community Health will today provide members of the community with information about the condition.

Between 10am and 1pm people who stop by Shop 108 in Main Street Stawell will be given the opportunity to view displays with information about diabetes, the 'Life Program' and blood glucose metre control checks.
