Weather: Mostly sunny day. Scattered showers in the west during the late afternoon and evening, extending throughout during the evening. Winds northerly 15 to 20 km/h becoming light before dawn then becoming north to northeasterly 25 to 35 km/h in the morning. Overnight temperatures falling to around 6 with daytime temperatures reaching around 14.

- TWO new white dingo pups have just arrived at the Halls Gap Zoo.

The pups, named Cat and Bobby, are just seven weeks old and were born at Durong Dingo Sanctuary in Queensland.

Halls Gap Zoo owner, Greg Cullel, drove up to Queensland to pick the pups up himself and arrived back at Halls Gap Zoo last Sunday.

Cat and Bobby are now available for people to have photographs taken with them, at the Halls Gap Zoo daily at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

- Northern Grampians Shire Council is about to introduce its flat fee for recycled items at transfer stations across the municipality.

Council will, in August, introduce a new policy where transfer station users will be charged a flat fee of $10 to dispose of some recycled materials.

Mayor, Cr Kevin Erwin said any mixture of commingled recycling (items accepted in the kerbside recycling bin), scrap metal, vehicle batteries and motor oil were covered by the new fee. 

- Stawell Westlift Warriors have made it two wins in the Wimmera Football League after a strong first half secured victory against Nhill.

Stawell has had a less than perfect start to the season with many of their senior players missing games due to injury.
