A Buninyong trio has taken out this year's Marjorie Mitchell teams event at the Stawell Golf Club.

Helen Pascoe, Vera Lund and Helen McSparron of Buninyong combined to claim the overall event with a score 219.
Pascoe was the division one scratch winner with a round of 74 while her teammate Vera Lund was the handicap winner with a nett 69.
Within her nett 69 came a hole in one on the WW & KF Skinner sponsored 17th hole which got everyone's adrenaline pumping.
It was a close finish in division two with Del Gray from Stawell winning on a countback from Joan MacPherson also from Stawell, with a score of 95.
MacPherson was the winner of the handicap section with a nett score of 76.
Heather Haberfield of Warrnambool was the division three scratch winner on 109 and Jean Boatman the handicap winner from Landsborough on a nett 81.
The day team event went to Del Gray, Maree Cullen and Julie Nueman with a total score of 226.
Nearest the pin winners aside from Lund's hole in one were Helen Pascoe on the sixth hole, Marianne Mitchell on the ninth hole and Rhonda Scullion on the 13th.
There were 16 teams with 48 players on the day from Stawell and surrounding clubs, such as Chalambar, Donald, Grange, Hamilton, Horsham, Landsborough, Warracknabeal and Warrnambool.
