It was a strange feeling amongst the Swifts line up as they took on Noradjuha-Quantong in what was rated as a danger game.
With Julien Carr and Damien McDonald out and Luke Mitchell a late withdrawal the Baggies appeared a little flat going into the match.
From the moment they got onto the ground their attitudes picked up and the intensity and attack was right up there with what Swifts supporters have become accustomed to.
Ricky Whitehead went forward in the absence of Carr and Swifts didn't use him early to their advantage.
On several occasions Swifts blazed away kicking both too long and too high for Whitehead.
Coach Paul Hanns was pleased with his team's determination to fix what in the first quarter was a deficiency.
In the second quarter Swifts out scored Noradjuha-Quantong against the wind.
Ben Martin was sent to full forward and Whitehead pushed up the ground.
Martin provided a much needed big body and presence and allowed Adam Mullane Pratt and Josh Newton to kick crumbing goals.
At half time the coaches emphasised players working on their skills and using their voice to protect the ball carrier.
The second half saw Noradjuha-Quantong kick three goals against the wind, but fortunately for the Baggies the delivery into their forward 50 had improved and with better ball movement opportunities were taken.
In the last quarter Swifts out ran their opponents having their first real strong finish for the season.
After weeks of fading out Swifts kicked five goals in the final quarter to secure a 45 point win.
Jake Goodes found plenty of the ball off the half back line seeing him one of the best CKS Swifts players.
Sean Mantel was again impressive with his work rate, while Justin Thomas played a big game at centre half back.
"We are really happy to get a good road win in," Hanns said.
"Now the boys are keen for a big week on the track before next weekend."
Next weekend they take on fellow undefeated team Laharum.
