Prior to the game their were some nerves from the Grasshoppers after talk that Harcourt had done some heavy recruiting.
Navarre coach Daniel Parkin had high expectations of Harcourt and was let down.
"After all the talk about their recruiting it was a little disappointing," Parkin said.
"I just thought they would be a little bit more competitive.
"We just did what we wanted in the second half."
Comments made during the second half were that it looked like a Navarre training drill.
After having almost a 50 point lead at half time Parkin had little for his players to improve on.
"We were winning quite easily so I didn't have too much to say," Parkin said.
"I just told them that good teams aren't always happy with 50 point wins and that we needed to finish off."
Following what was a scrappy first half Navarre did what they were instructed by Parkin.
In the second half the Grasshoppers piled on 16 goals to Harcourt's two to win by a margin of 128 points.
Ash Driscoll was a force in the Navarre goal square kicking 11 goals.
Driscoll had an easy game at full forward and with the delivery of the football as good as it was he never hasd to exert too much energy.
Driscoll was unlucky not to get best on ground which went to Brent Flood.
Flood played what Parkin describe as his best game he has seen across half back.
Not only did he cut off several Harcourt inside 50 entries, but hit targets as he rebounded the ball from defence.
Cody Driscoll much like his brother had an impact on the scoreboard kicking four goals.
Other notable strong players were Bryce Tickner, Ben Scott and Daniel Parkin.
In the last quarter several players took their seat on the bench and remained there.
There was at times only 16 players from each of the teams on the ground.
The only major injury for the Grasshoppers was Louis Hannett who injured his hamstring.
