Back by popular demand, this extraordinary event will take place before the Melbourne and Western Bulldogs match at the MCG on Saturday, May 10 and will see 15,000 breast cancer supporters sporting pink ponchos descend on the hallowed turf of the MCG to form BCNA's iconic Pink Lady logo.
Representing the number of Australians expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer this year alone, local breast cancer survivor Kerrie says this year's 15,000 strong Field of Women event highlights the enormous impact that breast cancer has on our local community.
"Participating in Field of Women is one of those unforgettable, life-changing experiences. Standing alongside 15,000 people in a show of love and support for those of us who have been affected by breast cancer is going to be incredible," Kerrie said.
"It's a memorable way of drawing attention to the growing numbers of women diagnosed with breast cancer each year and reminding us we are not alone on our breast cancer journey.
"We are urging Stawell and Ararat residents to rally together with family and friends to attend this special event and stand with thousands more pink ladies in support of families and communities across the country who are affected by breast cancer."
Everyone is welcome to participate - partners, supporters, friends, survivors - you don't have to have had breast cancer to take part.
Tickets to attend Field of Women 2014 cost $55 and include a pink poncho, a backpack and entry to the game.
