Operating from 10am-2pm in the hall and surrounds, this market is not quite as big as other regional markets, but it's a real gem, renowned for its happy atmosphere, as well as for interesting stalls. There's distinct camaraderie amongst stall-holders with their diverse range of goods and they really like meeting people. It does show.
The market is always on the last Sunday of the month. We're delighted that we now have Neil and Pam every month with their delicious Berenberg products, salamis and polish sausage, honey, etc.
You'll also find hundreds of plants of all varieties from natives like callistemons, banksias, grevilleas and hakeas, to cottage garden plants, herbs, roses, citrus, drought-beating succulents, geraniums, fuchsias etc., as well as vintage vegetable and flower seed varieties, and fresh fruit and vegetables.
There are 1000s of pre-loved books - something to suit all tastes, as well as vintage china and glassware, pre-loved LP records, tapes and CDs.
If you need something for a sweet tooth, biscuits, cakes, slices, nut loaves, toffees, fudges and coconut ice abound.
Want some jewellery, or clothes? There'll be exquisite costume jewellery, handspun scarves, shawls, stoles and hats, also handspun yarn, gorgeous sheepskin products, silk scarves and shawls, infants and children's clothes and toys (both new and pre-loved).
Jellies, jams and sauces, pre-loved clothes, lots of natural soaps, greeting cards, the list is endless and breath-taking.
Pomonal Progress Association will run their fund-raising sausage sizzle outside the hall, ceiling fans help to cool the hall and there are also delicious morning and afternoon teas, cool drinks and lunches provided by the friendly girls in the kitchen. So come and pay us a visit for a lovely day out!
