On March 29 Mrs Mitchell will be participating in the Cancer Council Relay for Life. As part of her involvement in this year's event she is appealing for donations of bras, boxers and bears.
"To represent the fact that cancers affect men, women and children, I am seeking donations of bras, boxers and bears," she said.
"My aim is to get enough of the three bs to be strung around the Halls Gap Cricket Oval on the major fundraising day."
Activities on the day include raffles, auctions, face painting, pony rides and heaps of other fun things for people of all ages to do.
The afternoon will end with Marianne and local identity Paul Russell getting their heads shaved.
Any bras, boxers or bears can be sent free of postage to Reply Paid 18, Headshave @ the Gap C/o P.O. Halls Gap VIC 3381.
Mrs Mitchell is aiming to raise $5000. Monetary donations can be made at any ANZ Bank or online. BSB 013 815, account number 387694982.
