The stable was off and running early, with four year old gelding Fresnel finally breaking through for his first career win in the Stawell Windows and Glass Maiden Plate.
The consistent galloper, which had finished second on three occasions, was brilliantly ridden by Nikita Beriman.
Beriman raced Fresnel up on the pace and the gelding broke clear in the run to the judge to win by almost one and a half lengths.
Trainer Terry O'Sullivan was thrilled with the win of Clear Direction in the Stawell Bi-Rite Benchmark 70 Handicap, which also brought up a winning double for Beriman.
Coming off a last start win at Hamilton, the four year old mare sat second at the 800 metre mark, before Beriman made her move. Clear Direction shot to the front halfway down the straight and proved too strong, winning by a length from Gold Bridian, with Red Royal running on for third.
The Christmas Race Day, which was hailed a success once again by the Stawell Racing Club, was dominated by female jockeys who won six of the seven races.
The day was a fantastic opportunity for businesses to celebrate their end of year break-up, with entertainment including an appearance by Santa, temporary tattoos, a jumping castle and a lolly hunt, on top of the seven race program.
