Taty rallied again on Saturday and the result was first innings points against the competition leaders.
These two teams have dominated the competition in recent times and Tatyoon has the uncanny ability to produce its best performances against the Combine.
Tatyoon went into the second day of this clash with 43 runs on the board, seven wickets in hand and the prospect of chasing down Swifts/Great Western's first innings score of 103.
The Combine would have been feeling a lot easier when one of the not out batsmen, Geoff Phillips failed to add to his score, becoming Jamie Bach's fourth victim for the innings and Tatyoon slipped to 4/43.
When captain Ash Maconachie added just nine runs and Jarrod Blandford (23) also fell to Jamie Bach, Tatyoon were in trouble at 6/71.
With three wickets in hand and still 33 runs short of their target Taty were up against it, but Tim McDougall and Matt Moore stepped up.
They took the Tatyoon score into safe territory and when McDougall (16) was out Tatyoon were in reach of victory at 8/101.
Moore took his score to 25 and Tatyoon were finally dismissed for 116, forcing the first innings win.
Jamie Bach was the best of the Swifts/Great Western bowlers finishing with 5/35 from 19 overs, while spinner Tom McCord chipped in with three wickets.
Pomonal put a stop to Buangor's run of form and at one stage were looking for outright points.
Looking to chase down Pomonal's first innings score of 239, Buangor were never a chance. It was only Chris Jerram (35) who held the Buangor innings together, as they were bundled out for just 105.
The Pomonal bowlers shared in the wickets with paceman Lee Oliver the best of them with his 3/23.
Batting a second time around, Buangor looked in trouble again when Lee Oliver removed both openers, but youngster Harry Ganley (60) and later in the day Matt Jarrett (27) saw Buangor reach 4/123 in their second innings.
Aradale led by a century from allrounder Brent Tate were big winners over Youth Club.
An undermanned Youth Club bowling attack was never able to gain control as Tate 103, which included 13 fours, a hard hitting 70 not out from Tyler Cronin and Matt Stasse 40, controlled the match, to see Aradale reach 5/289 before declaring.
Youth Club batted again and were 0/47 at the close of play.
Victories to both Tatyoon, Aradale and Pomonal kept plenty of interest in the A grade top four.
Chalambar's B grade batsman Grant Lepoidevin added to his run tally this season with another century, hitting 104 not out in Chalambar's win over Pomonal.
