Described as a show as much about life as death, The Wolves Theatre Company will bring 'Marooned' to the Stawell Entertainment Centre on Friday, August 13, from 7.30pm, as part of a regional tour of Victoria.
Playwright Michael Gray Griffith wrote 'Marooned' in the days following the loss of a close friend and colleague to suicide.
It was only meant to be staged for the acting community as a form of healing, but from the first night it was clear that the play was special.

Producer Rohana Hayes before the COVID-19 pandemic began, The Wolves Theatre Company had received overwhelming feedback from the show.
"Before the first great Melbourne lock-down we performed two shows at the Red Rock Regional Theatre near Cola," she said.
"Before the shows audiences were more reserved than normal due to the fact that the play was seen as a powerful and effective suicide prevention play but both shows received a standing ovation and we have been invited back for a third show.
"And the reason we are touring it; people constantly urge us to bring this play to their town, that and the positive way it resonates with audiences, especially men."
The writing is clever and both entertaining and moving.

To date, Marooned had been performed almost 50 times.
The play entertains and resonates with both men and women, young and old," Ms Hayes said.
"After the play they hang around for ages wanting to talk and the discussions are healthy.
"One young lieutenant who saw it at Victoria Barracks one weekend, drove 400kms to see it again at Yarrawonga.
"The writing is clever and both entertaining and moving.
"Another of the playwright, Michael Gray Griffith's plays will be directed by Bruce Beresford who is referring to him as a significant new voice. Bruce also thinks Marooned is a fantastic play."
Marooned will appear in Stawell on Friday, August 13.
