Stawell Police are appealing for information to help piece together how the Stawell Post Office on Main Street was damaged on Tuesday.

Police believe the incident occurred between approximately 2pm and 5pm on Tuesday, July 13, where damage has been caused to a wall at the rear of the Australia Post branch in Stawell, near Church Street.
Stawell Police believe the damage has been caused by a vehicle, specifically a tow ball from a car or a truck.

Stawell Police sergeant Eddie Malpas said the police were investigating the incident due the extent of the damage that has been caused.
"As a result of the incident, significant damage has been caused to the post office," he said.
"In recent times we have seen the strength of the local community and their willingness to assist us resolve a number of matters.
"I'm hoping someone out there will also assist us to resolve this incident to support our local Australia Post staff."
Stawell Police are seeking any information someone may have with regards to the incident.
