In 2020 and 2021 the Stawell Orchid Society were forced to cancel their annual Orchid Shows, with members of the Society deciding to put a display in the corner shop in Main Street, Stawell.

A lot of plants were put forward and the shop was completely filled with the array of different colours, shapes and species.
The display has been open for several weeks and is there until Wednesday October 20.
Usually with a variety of orchid and flowering plant species to view, the Orchid Society Spring Show offers a great day out for the whole family. Visitors to the show can choose to walk or take a bus tour to explore this event.
Regarded as the largest orchid show in Victoria, the Stawell Orchid Society Spring Show showcases thousands of orchids of many species.
It also features several different genera and is well worth the effort to come along and have a look, with plants for sale and members on hand to advise how to grow and flower these magnificent plants successfully.
In 2021 a two-day event, starting from 9am on Friday September 24, running until 3pm on Sunday September 26, was planned, but COVID restrictions made this event untenable for the second time in as many years.
