Rita Pyke received her award from the Stawell Inter Church Council president Jo Bertram, who praised her work with the group.
Noone, including Mrs Pyke, are quite sure how long she has been a volunteer with Stawell Inter Church Council Welfare.
She joined when Welfare had a little room in the St Patrick's Church Op shop.
From there Welfare moved in 2003 to a series of rooms off the old Salvation Army Op shop in Patrick Street, so Mrs Pyke has been a volunteer with Welfare for at least twenty-plus years.
The Mrs Bertram described Rita as a "quiet achiever".
