Owner and manager Julie-Ann Rose said customers had been lining up first thing in the morning despite holding a low-key ‘soft launch’ last week.
Ms Rose said word of mouth had spread about the store’s coffee, which she took pride in, along with its Persian-inspired food range.
“I used to live in the country, in northern NSW and moved back to Melbourne and was looking for another opportunity to go back to the country,” she said.
“I saw this place and fell in love with the work that had been done on it, the beautiful deck and the floors with the history of the town on them.
“I looked into the community and it was a very strong and vibrant.”
Ms Rose said she had spent four and a half months preparing the store for reopening and had applied for a liquor licence, which was still pending.
