Stawell State Emergency Service operations manager Jenny Rooke said the Melbourne woman was dehydrated when she fainted and hit her head.
“When we got there somebody had actually walked her up to the carpark so that is where we met police and paramedics,” she said.
“She had some head injuries, but luckily it wasn’t anything serious.”
The woman was taken to Stawell Regional Health.
Stawell SES unit controller Alan Blight advised people not to hike in the Grampians National Park this weekend as the mercury was expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday.
“Staying hydrated is crucial and if you will be in the park at the time, please remember this,” he said.
“Incidents like these can be avoided if you stay hydrated.”
It comes after a man drowned in MacKenzie Falls on Saturday and two men became lost on the Pinnacle track on Sunday.
