A unique display of rare aeroplane models and memorabilia will be on show to the public at this year’s Christmas parade at Stawell.
Ararat’s Barry Marx has a collection of 32 aeroplanes including a remote control to half scale of an F/A-18 fighter jet.
Mr Marx said the display would be something residents had never seen before at a Stawell Christmas parade.
It will also be the first time Mr Marx displays his impressive collection to the public.
“The model jets are over 12 feet long and are scale replicas of the full size ones,” he said.
“They are uniquely rare and it should be a very interesting display – one the residents of Stawell have not seen at their Christmas parade before.”
Mr Marx has been building and flying model jets for more than 20 years.

He has even flown some of his models in front of the Argentinian president at a South American air show.
“This is something I have always enjoyed and it has been my passion for many years,” he said.
The Christmas parade will start at 6.30pm on Main Street and carols will follow at 7pm at Cato Park – the whole festive event to take place on Friday, December 15.
Stawellbiz is accepting participants for the parade, you can register through firstname.lastname@example.org.
There will be a $200 cash prize for the best float at the parade.
