A Moyston trainer’s horse has upset 201 to 1 odds to record a win at Terang on Monday.
Real Finniss, trained at Stawell by Deanne Taylor, led for the majority of the 1850 metre race to upset the field.
It was the first win of 2017 for Taylor, with her last victory coming in February 2016 also from the seven-year-old gelding.

Taylor said despite the overwhelming odds against her horse she “was not too surprised” with the performance.
“He seems to grow a pair of wings when he races at Terang,” she said.
“He had a couple of good runs at Geelong and Warrnambool before Monday so he was in good form.
“Terang is a lovely track with a great atmosphere and great surface which he seems to enjoy.”
Real Finniss was bought for just $400, making his winnings of $10,800 on Monday a terrific reward for his owners.
Monday was a successful day for Stawell trainers, with Dane Smith also getting a winner.
Halcyon won race nine at Mt Gambier to give Smith his first win since September.
