The Stawell Golf Club will be running clinics open to all ages in an effort to introduce new people to the sport.

Wimmera golf champion Tim Coffey and Stawell junior golfer Josh Kelly will run the clinics on Tuesday nights from October 24 for four weeks, the clinics will teach the basics of golf and give an understanding on how to play the sport.

Wimmera junior golf coordinator Michael Kelly said it is important to get young kids interested in golf.

“Without juniors the club cannot exist in the future,” he said.

“We want to show kids that they don’t necessarily have to play the traditional sports and that golf is enjoyable.”

The clinics will cost $10 per session and will run out of the Stawell Golf Club.
