The coaching title is the regional coaching director-TAC Cup head coach and has been established to benefit the talented athletes and junior coaching across western Victoria.
The role will have the responsibility of improving coaching standards across the region with emphasis on the junior level.
Rebels talent manager Phil Patrington said it was a new and exciting role for western Victoria.
“It’s a completely new role in the area. AFL Victoria have two teams gaining this new role,” he said.
“Teams like Gippsland and Bendigo already have people in this role. It will improve local coaching in country Victoria.”
The role will also oversee all coaches in the Western Bulldogs Next Generation Academies.
The role has been advertised on the AFL Careers website and applications close on October 8 at 5pm.
Partington said people wanting more information on the role could contact him on 0418 558 850 or via 5339 0915.
