Stawell Primary School’s popular Breakfast Club initiative received a grant through the Pickers Market Stawell.

Market owners Anthea and Peter Perry decided to offer small grants of up to $500 to town clubs and organisations to help them complete community based projects.

A cheque was presented to the school this week and the money is set to bolster its Breakfast Club, in full swing each Tuesday and Thursday morning.

The breakfast club program, originally started to assist pupils from struggling families who were missing out at home, has seen the morning events become a social occasion for many students.

Principal Robyn Jones said it was “wonderful” to have extra food supplies to offer families who were struggling.
