The Grasshoppers’ season remains alive on a week-to-week basis, with one loss in the remaining three games potentially enough to knock them out of the top eight.
Navarre bounced back after a string of losses to defeat Lexton last weekend to keep the chance to defend its premiership alive.
“It was probably our best game of the season,” Navarre coach Taylor Mason said.
“Caitlyn (co-coach) and I knew we could do it if we started to play the netball we knew we are capable of.
“I think the realisation of not playing finals if we didn’t win hit us hard and pushed us to play our best.”
Navarre will likely feature the same seven players that defeated Lexton in the game against Carisbrook, a consistency that has been lacking most of the year.
“I don’t think we have had the same seven two weeks in a row at all this year, so it will be good to have a settled group,” Mason said.
