The home team got off to a quick start in the first term and held their own against the Demons with Cecilia Stewart sinking goals early on.
Stewart finished the first term with 10 goals to give her team a two-goal advantage at the first break.
The second quarter was much of the same with the Rats able to hold their nerve until the Demons grabbed the lead just before half time.
In the second half it was all the Demons, as they continued to extend their advantage on the scoreboard in the third term to lead by 11 goals at the final break.
The visitors almost doubled the Rats final term tally, as they finished comfortable 60-42 winners in the match-up.
Stewart finished with 24 goals in goal attack while shooter Tahnee Walker scored 18 of her own to be named Ararat’s best alongside midcourter Jess Williamson.
