Demons coach Louie Dalziel said it would be a tough ask.
“Ararat is always tough down there,” he said.
“If we play the style of footy that we want to play, then we should be pretty happy with where we are situated in two weeks.”
The side will benefit from good depth within its senior squad.
A big win by the club’s reserves indicated just how well the club is set up.
“If some guys do not get up Sunday, we know we have the depth to bring players in,” Dalziel said.
“We know we can call on players to step up and we feel we are in a really good spot at the moment.”
Ararat coach Terry Keilar said his team was wary of the Demons and would need to be performing at their best to win the weekend’s encounter.
“It is a bit of the unknown, but they are up and about,” he said.
“They have brought a few players in, their ruckman is a key player for them but we have a lot of faith in our on ball brigade that runs pretty deep.
“We go in with confidence we can win every game we play and playing at home should help.”
